2017 Dodge Neon
The Dodge Neon 2017 was originally launched with Fiat Tipo nameplate. It was also displayed at the last Dubai Motor Show with ‘Tipo’ name tag. It made a comeback to Middle East in September 2016 and is available in three versions namely SE, SXT and SXT Plus.
Under the hood, the 2017 Neon carries a 1.6L petrol engine that produces 110 horsepower and 152 Nm of torque. Each trim carries the same powertrain, but differs in terms of interior features and exterior elements.
The Neon 2017 boasts electric power steering; heated, electrically adjustable door mirrors; trip computer; remote control door unlock/lock function and leather wrapped steering wheel. The SXT and SXT plus trims also come with automatic air conditioning, parking sensors, split folding seats and TFT instrument display.
Furthermore, the 2017 Dodge Neon extends advanced safety features including ABS with EBD, traction control, tire pressure monitoring system, airbags, electronic roll-over mitigation, electronic stability program and more.
The base trim starts at AED 58,000, the SXT model costs AED 65,000, whereas the range topping SXT Plus grade carries a price tag of AED 68,000.
2016 Changan CS75
Boasting an expressive design, the 2016 Changan CS75 sports a sculpted hood, sporty bumpers, dual blue headlamps and a bold front grille.
It is equipped with a turbocharged 1.8 liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 175 horsepower and 230 Nm of torque. The powertrain is not just powerful, but also offers an excellent fuel economy of 8.8 L/100KM (11.36 KM/L).
The cabin is luxuriously designed featuring a 7-inch touch display with USB slot, AUX input and an 8-speaker audio system. Beneath the front dash is a drive control knob similar to the BMW iDrive, which lets the driver choose between different driving modes.
The 2016 Changan CS75 also renders top safety facilities. This is the reason it was awarded a 5-star C-NCAP safety rating. The standard safety specs include ABS with EBD, brake assist, traction control system, electronic power steering and an advanced airbag system.
The price of the Changan CS75 crossover starts at AED 75,000.
2017 Maserati Levante
The Maserati Levante is a mid-size luxury crossover, which made its debut in 2011 at the Frankfurt Auto show. The production was started in 2016. The deliveries for UAE began in September and it is currently available for sale in two grades namely Levante and Levante S.
Both the variants carry a 3.0L V6 twin-turbo engine. The base trim yields 350 horsepower, while the Levante S grade pumps out 430 horsepower and is capable of going from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds. The top speed is 264 km/h. Both engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic ZF gearbox.
The interior of the 2017 Maserati Levante extends some brilliant and modern amenities including an 8.4-inch touch screen navigation system, full leather upholstery, 360 degree camera view and push button engine start/stop feature.
It also features latest safety facilities such as blind spot alert, rear cross traffic alert, hill descent control, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and forward collision warning system.
The Maserati Levante starts at a base price of AED 329,000, while the range topping Levante S carries a price tag of AED 369,000 offering three year unlimited kilometers warranty as well as a three year/60,000 kilometers service and maintenance package.
2017 Renault Koleos
The 2017 Renault Koleos was first revealed at the Beijing Auto Show. It was inaugurated here by AW Rostamani Group along with the exclusive Renault dealership on October 21st, 2016.
The new 2017 Renault Koleos boasts a muscular and upgraded design with sharp character lines that complement the overall sturdy nature of the SUV. It features a new All-Mode 4×4-I technology that lets the driver switch between 2WD and 4WD Auto configuration. Moreover, the 4×4 technology also includes an innovative 4WD lock mode that ensures great stability on rough landscapes.
With a wheelbase of 2,705 mm, the all-new 2017 Renault Koleos is one of the longest SUVs in the market. On the inside, it extends a range of new technological updates including Bluetooth connectivity, digital air conditioning system, R-Link 2 tablet and an integrated 13-speaker BOSE surround system. Moreover, the 2017 Renault Koleos also boasts advanced safety features such as blind spot warning, front fog lamps, ESP, hill start assist, tire pressure monitoring, set of airbags, ISOFIX and automatic parking brake.
The 2017 Koleos is powered by a 2.5-liter four cylinder engine, mated to a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) that creates 170 horsepower. This power allows the Koleos to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.5 seconds with a top speed of 185 km/h.
The price of the base model starts at AED 74,900.
2017 Nissan Patrol Gannas
Unveiled in October, 2016, the 2017 Nissan Patrol Gannas is an exclusive edition of the Nissan Patrol in the UAE. It was revealed at Abu Dhabi’s Hyatt Capital Gate by Al Masaood Automobiles (AMA), the exclusive distributor of Nissan vehicles in the UAE.
The 2017 Nissan Patrol Gannas edition shares some of its components including underbody skid plates and wheels with the Nissan Patrol Desert Edition, which was revealed at the 2015 Dubai International Motor Show. However, it has an enhanced suspension system and a higher ground clearance. It is also 70 kilograms heavier than the standard Nissan Patrol.
Furthermore, the Patrol Gannas edition features ARB BP51 suspension system, an on-board air compressor, impressive Hutchinson double 18″ rims, a navigation and off-road map system, ABS disconnect switch, roof rails and a flagpole.
It is powered by a 5.6L V8 engine paired with an automatic gearbox. The powertrain delivers 400 horsepower and 560 Nm of torque.
The 2017 Nissan Patrol Gannas edition is available at Nissan Abu Dhabi dealership carrying a price tag of AED 260,000.
Upcoming New Cars in UAE
2017 Skoda Octavia
The Czech automobile manufacturer revealed a new model for its best-selling Octavia sedan dubbed as the 2017 Skoda Octavia on 27th October, 2016. The new Octavia comes with enhancements both on the exterior as well as on the inside.
Talking about the updates, the 2017 Octavia includes a new front grille, which is similar to the recently introduced Kodiaq SUV. The front fascia also features a new LED headlamp design and a more sculpted hood. The interior receives an upgraded infotainment system with a 9.2-inch LCD display on upper trim levels. Moreover, the safety facilities have been upgraded, as the new 2017 Octavia will offer a rear radar assist system, blind spot alert, rear traffic alert, pedestrian alert system and an emergency braking system.
The 2017 Skoda Octavia will give you five engine choices, ranging from the 1.0L petrol engine delivering 84 horsepower to the 2.0L unit with 184 horsepower. The engines can be paired with either a six-speed manual or a DSG automatic transmission system.
The deliveries of the new Octavia in the international markets will begin in early 2017. In the UAE, we expect the 2017 Octavia to arrive sometime in mid-2017.
2017 Honda CR-V
After completely updating the Honda Accord and Honda Civic, the Japanese automaker decided to give a complete makeover to the new 2017 Honda CR-V crossover too. The 2017 CR-V made its world debut at the 2016 Detroit Auto show and is set to arrive at the US dealerships on December 21st.
The 2017 Honda CR-V has a completely redesigned exterior featuring new LED daytime running lights, upgraded bumper design, enhanced front grille, new LED tail lights and dual exhaust tips at the back for a sporty look. The wheelbase has been increased by 2 inches, which means the interior is now more spacious.
On the inside, the 2017 Honda CR-V offers some advanced interior facilities including a seven inch infotainment display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone climate control, heated side mirrors, USB port, powered seats, remote start system and a new navigation system, which can be controlled via smartphone.
Power comes from a base 2.4L four cylinder engine generating 184 horsepower and 180 lb.-ft of torque. An optional turbocharged 1.5L four cylinder unit with 190 horsepower is also available. Both the engines are mated to a CVT gearbox.
The automaker has also recently revealed the pricing details. We expect it to hit the UAE dealerships by the mid of 2017.
2017 Nissan Micra
The Nissan Micra has been retaining the same exterior design and styling for last many years, but things have changed now. The automaker finally introduced the 2017 Nissan Micra at the 2016 Paris Auto Show, and it sports a spectacular design and comes with some amazing enhancements.
Talking about the design, the 2017 Micra features a smaller bonnet, a more slanted windscreen, new V-motion grille design and a longer and wider overall body. At the back, the ‘floating’ roof combined with boomerang shaped tail lights adds to the overall trendy design of the 2017 Nissan Micra.
Although it seems compact from the outside, the interior is very spacious boasting some high-end interior features including a new seven-inch touch display, sat-nav system and smart phone connectivity through Apple CarPlay. Buyers can also opt for an optional six-speaker BOSE surround system. Moreover, the 2017 Micra includes best-in-class safety features such as lane-departure alert, autonomous braking system, pedestrian detection system, around view monitor, blind spot detection and more.
It will be powered by a 0.9L turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine and a 1.5L diesel unit both pumping out 89 bhp. The engines are mated to a manual transmission system; however, a CVT gearbox will be added in the future.
Nissan will start the deliveries of 2017 Nissan Micra in the international markets from this very month. We can expect it arrive in the UAE auto markets sometime in the start or mid of 2017.
